FELTON — Boulder Creek contractor Eric Hammer wanted an office that was not so expensive and not so far from San Lorenzo Valley. Software architect Dave Davies wanted a faster Internet connection than what he had at home but didn’t want to drive 30 miles to his office in Sunnyvale.

I dropped by the Satellite Telework Center today, a co-working space in downtown Felton, California. Founding partner Jim Graham poured a cup of coffee and sat down with me to report on this growing business’ progress.
Artwalk debuts Saturday

Felton plans its first Artwalk and Sidewalk sale 1-4 p.m. Saturday at 6205-6265 Highway 9 across from New Leaf Market. Shoppers can follow the red balloon trail to participating businesses featuring artists and art receptions.

SANTA CRUZ MOUNTAINS, Calif.- Nearly five days after the Lockheed Fire broke out in the hills above Daveport, some people are still out of their homes. Several hundred people living along Swanton Road and in the Last Chance neighborhoods, were directed to leave their homes behind when the fire broke out last Wednesday night.

Recognizing this to be true, Barbara Sprenger decided to start up a business of her own: the Satellite Telework Center.
