Satellite Telework Centers, Inc. is developing a network of staffed professional-quality office and workspaces in neighborhood cores and town centers within commute distance of major metropolitan areas. The Satellites offer private offices, cubicles, open workspace, common break areas and conference rooms that teleworkers reserve online, by phone or in person and pay for via monthly subscriptions. Some employers underwrite part or all of the cost for employee memberships as part of the company telework and CO2 reduction programs.
The Satellite provides business-class secure networks and high-speed connectivity; business-quality office equipment and support services; secure printing, copy and scanning, and mail services; state-of the-art phone systems and videoconferencing. State-of-the-art RFID and security systems automatically and seamlessly integrate building access and billing.
The Satellite also offers the opportunity to be around other professionals, eliminating the isolation often experienced by home-based telecommuters and businesspeople. Most of all, Satellites will provide a calm, efficient, professional environment in which to get the job done – all for less money than the average commute.
Satellite Telework Centers are always located to enhance your quality of life: bike or walk to work, be near your kids’ schools, get out for a few minutes and walk to the local coffee shop, be part of the life of the neighborhood or town you live in.
The Satellite uses a subscription model, where teleworkers or employers purchase the membership plan that works for them, whether a few hours per month of open space, two days per week of cube space, or full and private access to a secure office. All Workstation and Private Office memberships include some private conference room time each month. Phone cubes allow for secure calls even with open space memberships. Additional hours, personal services and specialized business services can be used and charged for as needed.
